I originally hired Jennifer Applegate to represent me on a limited scope to get a restraining order against my ex. Everything seemed pretty smooth until it came to getting it served, which was harder. Jennifer hung in there, being persistent, and got it served, just when I was about to give up. My very amicable divorce was handled in another state through mediation, but I hired Jennifer to look over the final legal documents before I signed them, to ensure my interests were being protected. She confirmed that all was well, and recommended adding language that “time is of the essence.” If she hadn’t made that suggestion, I could still be waiting for half of the marital assets. She is able to gain a deep understanding of the situation, which unfortunately, is not common among many family law lawyers, but is absolutely necessary to achieve a proper result. Jennifer represented me through a child custody and visitation battle from h*ll. Through multiple counties, multiple judges and through multiple years Jennifer has represented me. She always went above and beyond. Even taking time out of her personal life well after business hours to be present or even just to answer questions. Never did I feel I would find such a wonderful lawyer. To say my case was one of the more “trying” cases would be an understatement. Everything bad that you could imagine happening during a custody battle happened in mine, but Jennifer was always there and always working diligently on my case. Ms Applegate was absolutely incredible! I would HIGHLY recommend her w/ no reservations what-so-ever. I only wish we’d found her sooner! We were dealing w/ a custody/ visitation issue with my fiance’s 16 year old daughter. We had already spent a fortune and dealt with several incompetent attornies when we finally came to her. We were frustrated and discouraged. Ms Applegate was honest about our situation, gave us all our options, and worked extremely hard to get us a wonderful outcome.
